What You’ll Do
Design & Specifications: Prepare design packages including quantity calculations, cost estimates, site-specific plans, and contract documents
Stormwater & Water Quality Compliance: Inspect and audit stormwater infrastructure, review water utility assets, and conduct stormwater and drinking water sampling to ensure regulatory compliance
Project Leadership: Manage project scope, schedule, cost, change control, progress reporting, and issue resolution; prepare and review engineering scopes of work and budgets/estimates for proposals.
Technical Expertise: Analyze and manage data, prepare technical reports, interpret civil construction design and as-built plans, and provide QA/QC reviews
Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical leadership to junior staff
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (U.S.-accredited)
6+ years relevant experience
P.E. Certification in the State of Hawai’i (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience using Bluebeam Revu, Civil 3D, GIS
Ability to obtain U.S. Defense Contractor Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) credential
Bonus Skills
Knowledge of potable water systems and related regulations
Familiarity with green infrastructure/low-impact development design
Understanding of MS4 NPDES permit compliance
